In my opinion, when you mention the words quick and books together as in Quickbooks it doesn’t make sense. You see, when I go to complete my data entries it is never quick!  That could be because receipts stay hidden in my purse for way too long!

For those of you not familiar with Quickbooks, it is an accounting software package with products to help small businesses manage inventory, payroll, expenses, and other business needs. PA, we have expert accountants who work closely with our clients providing software installation and training for Quickbooks.  Angie Hasenbank, our Quickbooks Certified ProAdvisor, recommends the following shortcuts to help change dates using your keyboard instead of your mouse:

• +     (plus key) Moves to next day
• –      (minus key) Moves to previous day
• T     Today
• W    First day of the week
• K     Last day of the week
• M    First day of the month
• H     Last day of the month
• Y      First day of the year
• R      Last day of the year
• [       Same day in previous week
• ]       Same day in next week
• ;       Same date last month
• ‘        Same date next month
• Alt+down arrow     Calendar opens to select a date
